These were taken by my father when we attended a race in the summer of 1971. These were all shot from the bottom of turn 8.

This is the start of the big-block class coming out of turn 7 and entering turn 8. Anyone know what the white car is next to the blue corvette?

Here is the same car entering turn 8. Dad must have really been interested in this one. Is it a Lola? Not sure...

Not sure about all of the smoke but this looks like the start of possibly D and E classes. You can make out a couple of MGB's in the middle leading into turn 9. This was by far my favorite place to watch races from as you could see 3 turns and behind the camera is a steep hill where you could sit in the shade and take in all the action.

For some reason there was a parade of people (corner workers perhaps?) riding little Honda 50's following a truck. You can't really see in this crappy scan but the truck is an old Ford stake-side with wooden spoke wheels. Anyone know the significance of this parade?
